2. General
We process personal data only to the extent necessary and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). No user account is required; we do not collect registration or contact-form data.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by a service provider processing data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). When you access the pages, information sent by your browser is recorded automatically (server log files): IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer URL and browser/operating-system information. This is technically required to deliver the website and ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
4. The hardware tests run locally in your browser
All tests (microphone, camera, keyboard, mouse, speakers, GPU, gamepad, MIDI, touchscreen, etc.) run exclusively locally in your browser. Audio, video, input or device information is not transmitted to us, not stored and not recorded. Access to the microphone and camera happens only after your explicit permission in the browser and ends as soon as you stop the test or leave the page.
5. Local storage
Some tools store settings (e.g. deadzone and calibration values of the gamepad calibrator) in your browser’s local storage. This data remains solely on your device, is not transmitted to us and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.
6. Cookies and consent
We only set technically necessary cookies as far as required to operate the site. For advertising (see section 7), cookies and comparable technologies are used only after your consent via our consent banner (consent management platform). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
7. Google AdSense
This website uses Google AdSense, a service for embedding advertisements provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google AdSense uses cookies and comparable technologies to serve and measure ads; usage data (including IP address and ad interactions) may be processed and transferred to Google, including in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
This is done solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can disable personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings. For more information see the Google Privacy Policy.
8. Your rights
Within the statutory limits you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object (Art. 21). To exercise them, contact the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
9. Withdrawal of consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
10. Changes to this policy
We adapt this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or the legal situation make it necessary. The current version published on this page always applies.
