Find dead & stuck pixels
The monitor test fills the screen with pure red, green, blue, white and black in turn. A dead pixel stays black on a coloured background; a stuck pixel glows in one colour. Ideal when buying a new monitor, laptop or TV.
Check your screen for defective pixels. Pick a colour, go fullscreen and look for dead (black) or stuck (coloured) pixels.

Click a colour or start fullscreen and click or press a key to cycle through the colours; press Esc to exit. For a clean result, clean the screen first and view it from a normal distance.

Sometimes rapid colour changes or gentle pressure help. Dead pixels usually cannot be repaired.
